YPQA

The Youth Program Quality Assessment (YPQA)

At Sprockets, we’re excited to be able to offer our Network Partners the opportunity to take part in the Youth Program Quality Assessment (YPQA) on an ongoing basis.  We want to help your program reach its fullest potential.

The YPQA is a nationally recognized observational measurement tool that evaluates key aspects of each program, including safe environment, supportive environment, interaction, engagement, youth-centered policies and practices, high expectations for youth and staff, and access.

YPQA Training And Support for Sprockets Network Partners

Each year Sprockets invites a new group of organizations to access the YPQA, which helps them create positive environments for young people to develop.

In collaboration with the Youth Work Institute at the University of Minnesota, Sprockets offers YPQA training to Network Partners. Your program staff will be trained on using the YPQA to self-monitor your progress and improvements. Then, each program shares their YPQA data with Sprockets on an aggregate level (no identifying information attached.) Your organization will also receive individualized consulting support to guide the creation and implementation of a plan for quality improvements that match the unique needs of your program.

We can’t wait to share the YPQA with you
