This event continues a grassroots tradition of uniting the ccommunity around the common goals of peace and solidarity.

Free Food, Games, Entertainment, and Fun!

The Peaceful Love Warriors, now called the Community Peace Builders, organized the first Peace Celebration in 1997 in response to several acts of violence that occurred in the Frogtown community in summer 1996. Since then, the Peace Celebration continues to be organized by residents and supported by local community organizations. The event is traditionally held the third Friday in June. Over the years, it's been hosted at different locations in the Frogtown-Summity University Neighborhood, with different organizations as fiscal agents. In 2018, the Celebration will be held at the Ober Community Center in St. Paul."
