FREE KIDS CONCERT

All ages are welcome at this free, family-friendly concert presented by the Greater Twin Cities Youth Symphonies (GTCYS)! Conductor Mark Russell Smith and host Reinaldo Moya will take children on a musical journey exploring how music opens doors. The lively program includes Michael Abels’ "Global Warming" which features elements from Irish and Arabic folk music, Argentinian composer Alberto Ginastera’s vibrant "Malambo" from the ballet Estancia, and movements from Stravinsky's Firebird Suite. Audience members are invited to stay after the concert to enjoy refreshments, try an instrument, and ask questions about GTCYS' new Harmony Program on the West Side!
