Sweet & Spring Rolling: The Art of Food in Frogtown and Rondo
You are invited to attend a free, artist led community food event February 18th from 10am-1pm at the Hmongtown Marketplace: Sweet & Spring RoLLing: The Art of Food in Frogtown and Rondo hosted by Public Art Saint Paul. Artists Sieng Lee & Mary Johnson are collaborating with a youth team for this fun and tasty experience!
Join us for demonstrations on how to make spring rolls and homeade ice cream, and participate in art activities while talking about the connections between art, food, culture, and health!
Art of Food in Frogtown and Rondo is a neighborhood based project to celebrate food and culture and to create a plan for a healthy community-driven food system using arts, culture, and placemaking in the Frogtown and Rondo neighborhoods. It is a collaborative project hosted by Asian Economic Development Association, Frogtown Farms, Public Art Saint Paul, and Storymobile and made possible by a generous grant from the Kresge Foundation.
Sweet & Spring Rolling: The Art of Food in Frogtown and Rondo is bringing the community together to make art + spring rolls + ice cream. It is a chance for your voice to be heard about food, shopping, growing, and eating in your community.
Please let us know how many youth plan on attending this opportunity along with their names and desired hourly time slot: from 10am-11am, 11am-12pm, or 12pm-1pm. Space is limited, so please RSVP by February 15. Email pasp@publicartstpaul.org or call
