Sex and sexual identity, eating disorders, sexual assault, post-traumatic stress, drug and alcohol addiction, self-harm, mental illness, physical and emotional abuse, and death and dying have long been subjects both writers and readers have been fascinated by – but that doesn’t mean tackling these topics is easy.

In this class, we’ll explore difficult subjects close to our hearts and how we can spin them into fiction that is realistic and complex.
