Young Scholars Showcase
Join us for our Young Scholars Showcase
Featuring Research from Youth & Young Adults of African Descent from around the Twin Cities.
The showcase of 8 youth/young scholars is to present our next generation of scholars & leaders to community. The inspiring "Back to School" event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served. Parents, students, teachers and community members are encouraged to come out and see the brilliance of our young people & to continue to challenge our youth to be in scholarship and involved in solving our community's problems.
Performers range from 5th grade to college graduates.
This Showcase will feature presentations such as:

Tradition of Gumboya:W. Gertrude Brown & Black Women’s Activism in Minnesota 1920-1940
Black Power:Kwame Toure's Evolution in African Ways of Knowing
Manefesto of Audre Lorde
