The Alerus Mortgage GOTR Fall 5K

Envision a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential. That’s the vision of Girls on the Run-Twin Cities, a curriculum-based, youth development program intended to develop and enhance girls’ physical, mental, social and emotional competencies to positively navigate life experiences. For 10 weeks each fall and spring, volunteer coaches teach curriculum-based lessons that incorporate running as a catalyst to building girls’ life skills. Each season culminates with a celebratory, non-competitive 5K that is open to the public.

You can register as a solo runner, or commit to being a Running Buddy. Running Buddies are matched with a girl during the race and motivate her from the start to the finish line. Early registration (before 10/1) is $30, regular registration (10/1-11/11) is $35 and race day registration (11/14) is $40. The race, sponsored by Alerus Mortgage, will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 14, at Harriet Island in St. Paul.
