Hallie Q. Brown Community Center
Founded in 1929, Hallie Q. Brown Community Center, Inc. is an African American, nonprofit social service agency providing programming in Early Childhood Education, After School and Summer Enrichment, Basic Needs, Senior services, open to all people with a primary focus on the Summit University neighborhood and the Twin Cities Metro area and is the administrative body of the Martin Luther King Center, which houses its partners offering specialized services and programs, including Project Cheer, Accountability Minnesota and the nationally recognized Penumbra Theatre Company.
The mission of Hallie Q. Brown Community Center, Inc is to improve the quality of life in our community by providing access to critical human services, fostering and promoting personal growth, and developing community leadership.
