Earn a paycheck while learning about the natural environment through conservation and community improvement projects! Youth crew members (ages 15-18) participate in a rigorous program of education and training to complete environmental restoration projects within the Twin Cities area such as brush hauling, rain garden installation, invasive plant removal, seed collection, energy conservation activities, wildlife habitat construction and maintenance, prairie restoration, and leading volunteers.
Youth Outdoors crew members (ages 15-18) add value to their communities, the environment and themselves through their dedicated service. They will work alongside AmeriCorps members (ages 18 - 25).
Youth Work three days a week starting Sept 16 - November 9th :
- Tuesdays from 3:45pm - 5:45pm,
- Thursdays from 3:45pm - 6:45pm, and
- Saturdays 8:00am - 3:30pm
Crews will be based out of recreation centers in Minneapolis and St. Paul based on crew members' home addresses.
No cost! In fact, crew members earn $12.50/hour and work 12hours/week.
