St. Paul African Girls Initiative for Leadership & Empowerment (AGILE)

  • Hybrid program model with more in-person sessions than virtual.

Midway Griggs & Rondo Library Locations!

AGILE provides a proven best practice culturally specific intervention for Pan-African refugee and immigrant girl participants ages 14 to 18 in St. Paul to overcome barriers that contribute to their low college attendance rates. Participants attend a weekly after-school and summer program of 90 to 120 minutes in length based in active learning and interaction with peers. AGILE provides a college attendance curriculum including financial literacy, virtual and in-person guest visits/role modeling from African college students and female professionals, one-to-one counseling, participation in local college tours led by African college students and self-esteem building activities.
